Founded in 1983, SD COLOR began its activity producing and marketing products for the industrial sector, specializing in solvent-based solutions.
Over the years, it has gained extensive experience, developing strong technical expertise and an in-depth knowledge of coating products.
After nearly 40 years of activity, the SD COLOR brand decided to rely on Propaganda3 to update itself for the contemporary market, relaunching its presence through a complete rebranding of the brand.
The Restyling: A Fresh New Look
The goal of the restyling project was to refresh the brand’s image by bringing SD Color’s wide range of products together under a new, clearer, and more recognizable brand identity.
We began by designing a new logo: we kept the rooster — the hallmark of the paint company — and updated it with cleaner lines, a new font, and a triangular frame.
We then applied the logo and the renewed brand identity to create a wide range of graphic materials, including the new product data sheets, the price list, brochures, and displays.
And then we moved on to the packaging for the new cans.
The Packaging: One Can for One, One Can for All
SD Color’s packaging was designed to be easily adaptable across different formats and product types.
Each product has its own logo, making every package unique, yet it also shares common elements with the other products in its category or specific line.
Careful work was also done on the naming of the product lines, helping to make the segmentation clearer for customers.
Toward the Paint Factory and Beyond
